Plazma Halloween

Project overview
Plazma regularly releases special edition packaging, but it has never had a Halloween edition. I saw that as an opportunity: a seasonal moment the brand hadn’t claimed yet, and a chance to see how far Plazma’s visual identity could stretch while staying instantly recognizable on the shelf.
I started by researching the illustration style of Plazma’s previous special editions. They rely on clean, flat illustration, so I kept the same direction to make the concept feel like a natural part of the brand’s family. To bring in the Halloween atmosphere, I added a layer of stipple texture for shadows and highlights. It gives the scenes depth and a slightly eerie, handmade feel without moving away from the flat style the brand is known for.
Orange and purple were off the table: orange is already Plazma’s standard packaging, and purple is what every other Halloween product uses. I went with black and acid green instead, and kept the brand red. Against black, the red works as a strong contrast color and creates a striking Halloween effect on its own, so the brand’s core color does the seasonal work instead of competing with it.
I kept the layout of the standard Plazma pack. I think it’s one of the strongest in the category when it comes to hierarchy: logo, product, then supporting information. The illustrations are designed to support that structure, not to become the focal point. The logo and the biscuit lead, and the Halloween world frames them.
